Teaching
Inclusion
This means that you must have an all-inclusive approach in you manner, Teaching
style and teaching approach. You should be able to identify any individual
needs that learners may have and devise a course of action that will allow
them to participate in the teaching, learning and assessment process.
All in all you will encounter people from various backgrounds and it is your
job to make them feel at ease and enable them to complete the course as
effectively as possible.
Inclusion involves:
• Valuing all learners equally
• Increasing the participation of learners and reducing their
exclusion
• Reducing barriers to learning and participation for all Administration
learners, not only those with impairments or those who are
categorised as `having special educational needs'.
• Learning from attempts to overcome barriers to the access
and participation of particular learners to make changes for
the benefit of learners more widely.
• Viewing the difference between learners as resources to
support learning, rather than as problems to be overcome.
• Recognising that inclusion in education is one aspect of
inclusion in society.
