          Teaching

In addition to a strategic view, learning provision has to be:
Teaching • Attractive to adults and relevant to their experience

          •
          • Flexible, to suit adults' circumstances and schedules
Supported by outreach programmes to attract adults who otherwise might not consider learning
          • Backed by pertinent, up-to-date information and sound advice.

          Lines of Communication

Room layout is a key factor in communication in the classroom. It
is also a consideration for classroom management too. If you
would like candidates to talk less, for examination purposes,
individual seats may be better than small groups. The layout of
your classroom can lend itself to different activities.
Administration For example the board room layout is suitable for discussion work

but leaves little room for practical activities.

The lecture style lends itself to the focus on the front which is good for PowerPoint presentations.

You also have the typical classroom layout. The most important thing to remember is that you should
choose a layout that best suits your needs. Remember to think about group work and practical
          activities

          Activity 8

Describe the features of an inclusive learning environment and summarise the
importance of this, in meeting the needs of individual learners. (100 words)
