How do you go about planning a lesson? Which factors do you think about first, which next, and
so on? Do you follow any particular pattern when you are planning a lesson? Teaching

Lesson Preparation

Scheme of Work / Session Plan

The session plan is an over view of the course and broken into days or half day blocks. Its content
can be taken from the subject syllabus and broken into general content for each few hours of
teaching. You can adopt the layout and content to suite your own needs providing you cover the
following areas:-

• Subject content
• Teaching strategies
• Resources
• Assessment methods
