Teaching

Conclusion

Training is a complex process. It is all about Teaching and Learning and the Learner is at the heart Teaching
of everything we do. We need to prepare our lessons adequately, in terms of what we will do,
resources we need and assessment methods to use. We need to prepare our classroom and double
check that our documentation is place.

All this before we even get to the
classroom! Well, this is where the fun
begins. We all aspire to deliver successful
lessons in our subject area, ensuring that our
classroom is a nurturing and inclusive
environment. We will incorporate a variety of
teaching methods and manage various difficult
situations as we go along, making preemptive
strikes at getting it right on the day.

Make sure that you have all your paperwork in Administration
place and remember that you are accountable
for everything that happens, or not, on your
course. You also need to know when to ask for
advice or guidance. This is what we are here
for. If you are in any doubt, just call the office.

The most important thing to remember is why you are there in the first place - most likely a genuine
love for your subject, a love for teaching and a passion for people. Your enthusiasm will come
across and your style will develop. So be yourself and soon you will have an approach to be proud
of. Please remember Trainer or not - we never stop learning. So keep an open mind review your
practice and stay on top of new ideas in teaching.
